About

I’m a Creative Director, currently SVP, ECD at R/GA, where I lead teams of Writers, Art Directors, Designers, Creators, CG/Motion Artists, and Editors.

During my time at R/GA, my roles include Co-ECD of R/GA San Francisco (2019-2020),  then leading R/GA California as the ECD responsible for both our San Francisco and Los Angeles offices (2020-2022). Our clients included: Google, Airbnb, Slack, Reddit, Roku, Chime, Patreon, Youtube, Electronic Arts, and Chime, and our most recognized campaign—Reddit’s “Superb Owl” was covered by the New York Times, receiving over 6.5 billion impressions, and won 6 Cannes Lions, including a Grand Prix at Cannes.

Prior to that I helped design the model for R/GA Studios (2017-2019), developing cross-disciplinary teams that included: creative, content strategy, prototyping, motion design, and editorial—with the mission of advancing storytelling with the use of new and existing platforms.

In 2010, I co-founded and led (2010-2017) a direct-to-brand creative studio. With an eye on the changing media landscape I brought a group of artists, creatives, and producers from different disciplines together to form the Brooklyn based studio Rare Icons.

Named one of Vice Media’s "go-to creative collaborators," we helped define new models of storytelling that gave us the opportunity to develop campaigns and experiences for brands and publishers including: The Players’ Tribune, Vogue, The Boston Globe, Vice Media, Samsung, Ubisoft, Coca~Cola, and Red Bull.

While at Rare Icons, I directed the film and VR experience, Human Ignition, that premiered at Formula 1 races around the world, including the Barcelona Grand Prix, and won Best Documentary at the LA cinema festival of Hollywood.

I have a background in linear and non-linear programming, that includes working on the cinematography team on Emmy award winning “Deadliest Catch” (2009) and was a member of the production team that won the PGA producer of the year in non-fiction television for the series. I began my career at MTV’s University channel, MTVU (2007-2009), writing, directing and editing for broadcast and digital.

Over my career I have focused on creating cultures of innovation that deliver world class creative for new and existing platforms. I seek to blur the boundaries between audience, participant and storyteller. I believe there’s an emotional current running through the world we live in and it’s the job of creative people to convince others of its existence.

I graduated from Connecticut College with a self-designed major in Modern Globalization of Media and Culture.
